Just make sure they are getting the required power at all times.

When I built my system, I ran (3) power cables. I'm only using (2) of them for my 3090. The third was for a 4090 that I may or may not ever upgrade too. If it ain't broke, I won't fix it.

It's OK the PowerEdge R720 is old and slow, it's time to upgrade anyways.
I use the 4090 in my main R7920 workstation. I got that card free from one of my clients. I do a lot of video editing so why not use it.

Attached is my home office setup. The 2U rack mount work best for my setup.

I took off used hardware on all the video streams for right now and now the CPU is up to 4% that's fine just deal with that for now I'm sick of rebooting the obs server three times a day to get the sound to work and I never know when it's down but every time I check it's not working right so I just stopping the video card for now and hopefully that'll hold it until I get the new server. It's a major pain and I'm sick of losing viewers because of it.

When was the last time new batteries were installed in those APC's? Batteries should be replaced every 3 years. I told you about the guy with the server, he had all types of issues, it was his UPS failing.

Power or lack of power. You're clearly down a UPS, it's off. The load in that rack needs to be split across the 2 UPS units. I'm still not sure if that's enough. I run (2) 1500kVa units also & neither of them ever gets above 70% loaded. That server has 750w or 1,000w options & that LED meter on the left of the UPS display looks like the load. Almost out of LED's.

having issues with the sound again. and this is running off my pc so I dont get it!

And just rebooted the obs server and it's still doing it

Well that's weird let's guess it's not the server or the video card I have it running on my R 7920 with the 4090 man I just came in to check it and the sound was messed up.

Look at the logs, audio lagging again? Perhaps it's the souce(s).

Test a new Profile with just 1 Scene & a source that isn't a camera.

I just deleted the Olive Cam Stream that keeps having the sound issues and re added it just to see if maybe something got corrupt on that? It's just weird I've been using this same OBS Profile and Scene for about a year now and nothing changed none of the cameras nothing. I thought it was the other server for sure because that's when it started but then when I moved it over to my work station last night and it kept going then I realized it wasn't the server so maybe hopefully it was just something corrupt in that media source add-in? and the sound issues only happen on the Olive Cam video stream

So I'm beginning to think it's a problem with obs. What box I run it on the sound is having issues I just started the stream from scratch 3 times And the sound is staticky right from the start I can't get it to go away this morning at all no matter what I do. There's no problem with the cameras I can view and listen to the camera's individually they're fine all the cameras that stream directly to youtube are fine it's I'm only having problems with OBS. And the main camera that's having this issue I can go listen to the recording from the camera it's fine it's coming from OBS only. I just took off use hardware on the stream that was having the issues and the sound cleared up? I switched it back to use hardware and sound still ok so it's a really hard one to figure out what it's causing this but I'm now 100% certain it's coming from obs

9000 is the "default" setting for 10G. If you didn't update it to 1492 or 1500 perhaps that may be causing issues with the cameras?

Some good info here:

I'm guessing it still set at 1500 in the router. 70% of everything here is still 1 gig, but servers and my workstation is 10 gig so you think I should still change that? but the servers that are running OBS are 10g and I to wondered if these issues could have started since going from 1 to 10g.

Here it's just some of the Cisco switch ports are 10 gig I have a Cisco CBS250-24P-4X, So 4 ports support 10 gig fiber And they just run to the 10 gig fiber network cards on the servers/workstations and router.

The router Won't take 9000 on that interface.

And it was getting kind of frustrating because stopping this dream restarting OBS server and starting the stream wasn't clearing up the sound issue anymore and the way I found to clear it is to uncheck use hardware encoding and recheck it I don't have to stop the stream or reboot anything if I just unchecked that and check it, it clears the crackly sound up.

My understanding is if the MTU is @ 9000 everything on the network needs to be @ 9000. I run everything @ 1500 & have no issues over here.

x8 is @ 9000 it's at the bottom. Probably going to need to dig into the owners manual(s).

And I rebuilt the entire profile in scene from scratch yesterday all completely new again just in case there was something corrupt or something going on there and as soon as I was done the sound was crackling, so that wasn't it.
