hmm,..no, even after i changed the resolution back to the 1440p today im still ge tting the render lag again now. it weird becaue it didnt happen until i changed the resolution to 1080, and nothing else was changed than that in that session. its the same game too (monitor still not changed as i wanted to do one change at a time to see if i could see anything changing with that)

(something happened to the base canvas tho, i think it became smaller- and that wasnt changed today so i nee to see if i can get that to the right size again and see if render lag goes away wehen i do)

You're supposed to be reducing load but almost a month later that ain't happening. You know what to do so do it.

Like I said, I don't use SE so I have no idea what is or isn't happening in the background. You'll need to figure that out.

Set 1080p as your Base & Output Resolutions. Settings > Video

Disable Scaling on the Streaming/Recording Output tabs.
sorry for the long time for a reply, streamed today again. this time i set hte refresh rate to 60 this time, and the resolution 1080 in the vid setting tab in obs.
but its still happening

i dont know why the render lags dissapeared for a while, then came back when i lowered the resolution in the vid settings ? that seems so odd to me.

having both encoder overload, and render lag.

i seen encoder overload happen as i wanst even playing any games, i put it to a pause screen, which is a still image and had some music playing while i had a break, and then the overlaod errors showed in obs.

didnt see this reply until now.
yeah, i lwoered the hz to 60 this time.
ive been trying toadjsut one thing at a time so that it would be easier (for me) to spot what is making the render/encoding issues happen.

it seemed fine for two streams, until i changed the resolutin thing in obs, and lowering the hz didnt seem to fix it either.

the problem is im not able to read hte logs myself either and gifure out what needs to be done,..or even what seems to be the error.

building pcs is like lego, iven ive done that.

but all of this software stuff is like making food without a recipe. you jsut need t o know what goes together and wehich flavors compliments eachother,... and the ing readients you have is stuff you never seen before

Test another New Scence Collection but this time with JUST 1 SCENE/SOURCE. No filters, no BS.

Thx for letting me know you built it. Re-calculating....

Did you test the rig after completion, like really test it? I hammered my system non-stop for 2 weeks before I placed it in service. This will give it a good workout. Test your cooling, see if there's any throttling or worse.

no, i didnt. this is a prebuilt machine sold from one of the big companies here, its a acer orion 3000, i think i posted the specs earlier in the post. this case is known for having heating issues, which i found out after i got it- but i got a new cpu cooler (the biggest noctua i could fit in here) and since that the temperature has been in the ok range. its idling at around 38 degrees, but still a little hotter in its natural state than what i like when gaming. ive set msi to keep it in an ok temp range so after i did that its been ok temp wise.

ill make a new reply in here with logs from yet another fresh profile, and add in a new log from every new scene added.

this is the log from just gaming scene, and nothing else

(its at 4k for bit, but still says its low- dont wanna upjsut it until all other scenes has been added and its in the clear)

ill add cam and mic next, since both are pretty crucial for streaming.

at this point im jsut getting so frustrated with all of this, be cause it dosent really make sense to me that the rig im having is tossing all these problems.

it's at he point where im jsut considering getting a new pc or try look for another broadcast systen than obs- but im not even sure there is any good alternatives out there:p

You will need to troubleshoot the old Collection/Profile or re-build this one slowly.

Run Cinebench when you get a chance & monitor temps during the test(s). Start with a 10 minute throttling test & if it passes move to the 30 minute stress test. If your cooling is an issue, you'll know real fast. There's tests for CPU & GPU.

yeah, i have the original profile, the new one i made a couple of weeks ago to start pinpointing where the troubles came in (and renderlags happened there when i changed the res from 1440 to 1820- and kept on staying there even after it was changed back- and then this one i added in today,..to start testing from scratch.

ill run that thing tonight or tomorrow:)

That Profile was bugged. Just remember nothing is free, everything you add uses resources. It's better to run simple Scene Collections. I never troubleshoot when things go sideways. I can re-build in minutes.

gpu 10 min test max temp score 7988 pts
12 cores.
1 went to 81 degrees, 7 stayed in the 70s range and the rest in 60s range

cpu multicore all cores between 50-60 degrees 702 pts

gpu 30 min:
2 cores to the 80s
5 to the 70s and the rest in 60s 7606 pts score

cpu multi 30:
(15 min in now and temp is in the 40-50 range on all cores- so far score is around 680,... dont think much will change the next 15 min)

so all in all its not a top pc, but its definetly not in the bottom segment either,..it's kinda pretty decent, i feel the noctua nh d12l that i managed to squeeze in is making a big difference. without it would go to the 90s when gaming, now i keep it around 75)

yeah, i feel like my scenes are simple enought tho,... i dont have anything that people usually dont have. and i only have a handful of alerts (a few local, which are timed to be off when they are not active) and a few from twitch dashboard browser. the first new profile seemed to be working fine until the resolution whas changed, then it started with the lag again (nothing new was added or taken away with the resolution change to trigger it)

im going to slowly build up this new new profile to see where it starts acting up. im not that speedy when it comes to bulding up profiles,.. and i get so frustrated when i feel like ive tried forever (since middle of dec, where i did a fresh windows install to root the issues out:p back then it was different issues where obs jsut wouldnt broadcast even if streaming was pushed on,..and whenever i reconencted twitch it would only broadcast for one session and i had to redo it again) so its been like a hydra this,..fixed that issue,..now there is lots more:p

Cooling numbers look strong, the Noctua is kicking, GPU too. But, the system appears to be under-performing overall. My system has a bit more kick but the difference shouldn't be over 2x. My 30 minute numbers.

You got the idea, go slow, keep testing as you add more. Avoid Rendering Lag. You'll find the offender(s) at some point.

what do you think the reason could be, and is it fixable?

could it be the ram? theres not many ram sticks compatible with this motherboard, and it cant be used with xpm (or hwatever its called)

Hard to say, without any troubleshooting but it's performance is not up to snuff. Your numbers should be much higher. Look at the Passmark comparisons. I'm benchmarking 4k over average for both my CPU & GPU but even with that factored in the gap in performance should not be so large.

ive started a new profile, and did a few test streams where nothing showed up so far.
so now i have the same scenes and stuff in my scenes as I had before i did the resolution change that made the render/encoder thing trigger last time

seems like its going ok so far, i even upped the bitrate from 4k (which is what ive beens treaming in the past half a year) to 6k, it still says to low,...should i risk upping it again?
is there any settings that should be fixed on?
thsi is the same game i uplaoded the log on before, but ive also been teststreaming path of exile which i think is a heavier game for the pc with no errors.

i think when it comes to the pc,..i jsut have to live with it underperforming,.and jsut save up some to replace it:p
with with the issues intel had with its 13/ 14 gen i think i shoudl wait until i can get a 15 gen cpu,..
or is it amd thats all the rage now? i have no clue anymore, and im feelign less tech savvy the older i get:p

ok so this time i added the chat overlay (nothing else) and it gives me render lag.
gonna remove it and see it the renderlag is gone next stream tomorrow.
did not have any renderlag or encoding issues yesterday wihtout the chat

i was hoping it would be another source tho,..cause i like having the little chatbubbles on the stream:p
crossing fingers for the lag to go away when it removed:)

ok so, i streamed again today,..with the same stuff in as i had feb 11.
chat overlay and sound alerts removed (which i had added in the stream after feb 11 but logs showed lag after so i took it down staight away)

but its giving render lag regardless.

any clue as to why?

the games is low "end" aswell, shoulddnt demand much pc wise
feb 11 it was ok
then i added those two overlays, stemed and got renderlag and thoguht it was because of them

removed them, but renderlag is still here
