Old vs New setup 2025

Old setup:
AMD 5800x am4 + 64gb DDR4 3200 + 3060 12gb VRAM
New setup:
AMD 9900x am5 + 64gb DDR5 6000 + 4070ti 12gb VRAM

I'm playing League of Legends on Windows 11, clean install from scratch, fps cap at 240. When I stream on both machines, I get fps drops to 150 and 170 respectively. Are you telling me how much software improvement is needed to only gain 20 fps and not be able to keep it at 240 to match my monitor? Is it a hardware issue? A software issue? I don't understand what's going on here, I've tried all the encoders, NVENC, x264, I've run as administrator, I've simplified scenes, I've set the nvidia control panel to maximum performance, I've set OBS and League of Legends to high priority, I've assigned cores to each software, I've enabled and disabled hardware acceleration, could it be an AMD problem? Would it be solved with Intel? I hope someone comes and tells me there's no solution, it's mainly a game problem, or at least some setting that I've forgotten and is essential...

Two screens connected to the graphics, the main one is 27 inches 240hz where I play with GSYNC enabled and the secondary one is 34 inches 165hz.

Start by disabling HAGS.

Looking at some numbers for that game, it appears that the High or Medium quality setting should be used with your new rig. Medium may be the better choice & you should be able to cap around 280-300FPS. If you use High, try capping @ 260-280.

Only run your main monitor @ 240HZ, drop the secondary to 60HZ. Save those resources for something else, like rendering your game.

Update OBS to v30.1.2 or rollback the plugin to match the installed version of OBS.

19:37:04.642: OBS 31.0.1 (64-bit, windows)

19:37:05.272: Skipping module '../../obs-plugins/64bit/advanced-scene-switcher-lib.dll', not an OBS plugin
19:37:05.293: [adv-ss] version: 1.28.1

Advanced Scene Switcher 1.28.1

Important notes:

  • This is a hotfix release for 1.28.0.
Patch notes for 1.28.0 can be found here.
  • The minimum supported OBS version is now OBS 30.1.2 on all platforms in preparation for OBS 31 support
  • Please make sure to back up your settings!
  • The legacy tabs "Scene Triggers" and "Network" were removed. (More details below)
  • If you run into any issues, please either post in the OBS forums or create an issue on GitHub!

Ignore that post above, I was rushed this morning & lacking my morning cup of coffee, that plugin actually may be OK.

The RTMP multi-out however could be messing things up. The installed version (v0.6.0.1) evidently works with OBS v31 but according to the post below, OBS should not be updated further. FWIW, I use this plugin too, but am still running OBS v30.2.2. because of the uncertainty with this plugin. v0.6.1 is a pre-release but looks like the only option at this time.

I guess you missed this. 500FPS is unobtainium.
