MUFFLED AUDIO PLEASE HELP!

Hi, I have been having exactly the same issues as you! My mic is the deity vo7u and it works perfectly in literally every other program but in OBS the microphone just won't work! It is always late to pick up early sounds for words and gasps etc even without any filters on through obs and the gain on the mic fully open. I've sent logs and everything to the obs discord but no one had any answers :(

please let me know if you found a solution.

Yes I found the solution! Few things... do all of these steps. My mic is working beautifully now!

1. Make sure your graphics card is updated. Mine was not at all and that kept giving me muffled audio.

2. If you're on windows go to Settings > Sound > scroll down and click on "More Sound Settings" and a box will open up where you should see 4 tabs at the top "Playback, Recording, Sounds, Communications" click on the "Recording" scroll down to your mic that you're using and double click it and you should see an "Advanced" tab click it and scroll down unselect "Audio Enhancements" that is also as issue.

3. Go back to Settings > Sound and make sure your output settings has your speakers selected only and nothing else and also make sure your input Settings has your mic that you're using only! If anything else is there disable them.

4. Go to your camera settings and make sure your camera is disabled. Cameras usually have microphones and when you're using obs it will often try to automatically use the camera's mic making your audio muffled.

5. Lastly, make your digital Intel microphone is disabled on computer. Go to Device Manager scroll down and click the Sound, Video, game controllers tab, right click and disable both the Bluetooth and Digital Intel Microphone because your computer will often go to any default mic you're using and that cause the audio to be muffled because you're basically using two microphones at the same time.

You Should Be Good After this!

6. One last thing I forgot make sure everything is set to "Stereo" not "Mono" go to OBS audio settings and make sure it's set to "48khz Stereo" and go to your computer and make sure your computer has the same setting "48khz Stereo" on the mic you're using because that can also cause muffled audio.
