Why must NVIDIA name two GPUs "TITAN X" with different architectures...

What's even worse is that they're actually the same architecture. Pascal. One is just a little newer (by a year) than the other, has all of the CUDA cores working (vs mine which are gimped), slightly faster memory clock and throughput, and a slightly faster boost. These two cards truly pissed NVidia fans off. A lot. They've done similar things to this in the past, not nothing quite this egregious.

As an aside, "dropped frames" in OBS means frames dropped during an attempted network transmission, not during render.

Fair. I used the incorrect terminology. I meant the "missed frames due to rendering lag" and the "skipped frames due to encoding lag". Those numbers climb up quite a bit during my benchmarking.

No, I was referring to the GeForce GTX TITAN X that is listed as being Maxwell architecture. It seems the Pascal version is simply "NVIDIA TITAN X". At least the TITAN Xp has a slightly different name. =/

Ah HA! Got it. Yeah, they made a big deal of not calling the Titan X (Pascal) a "GTX" card, even though it has "GTX" printed all over it. :-)
