Question / Help YouTube stream ~30-second delay (Latency question)

I've watched various tutorials in minimising latency for YouTube streams, I've messed around with OBS settings (24.0.3) and YouTube settings. My PC is a very good one and my upload speed is 16 mbps so I can't understand why my streams have a 30 second delay. Any help and guidance would be appreciated (if someone could even spare the time to guide me through it on a call or something that would be even better!)

Please let me know what info I can provide to help you help me :)

YouTube has in its stream control panel three latency settings: normal, low, and very low. It is not that unusual to have 20-30 seconds of delay with the normal latency settings. This is not a setting in OBS, it's in your youtube account settings.

Hi, thanks for your reply, I'm experiencing this with that setting on Ultra low latency (sorry, I wasn't very clear when I said I messed around with YouTube settings). Are there any other settings I should be watching out for?

No, that's it. Regular RTMP always has some delay. You could try doing some testing with Mixer.com using their FTL protocol; I routinely get stream delay of only about 1 second with them.
