When OBS is running my PC gets constant lagspikes even without a recording/replay buffer

I tested this a few times and with 2 different OBS versions, but whenever OBS is not running everything on my PC, videos, games run fine and smoothly. The moment I launch up OBS I get a lagspike/hang/stutter every few seconds. This is without a stream/recording/replay buffer, OBS is only capturing my main display. Disabling and then enabling the preview on OBS seems to make the laspikes less bad, but I could be imagining that. When I turn off OBS everything starts running smoothly again. I updated my NVIDIA drivers 2 days ago to see if that could solve this issue, but it didn't.

The OBS log is saying I am not Admin on my own PC, which is not accurate.

PC Specs:
- CPU: Ryzen 7 5700X
- RAM: 32GB DDR4 3200MHz
- GPU: RTX 3060Ti

You're not running OBS as Admin, that's all, no worries.

There's no encoding session in that log but there are some things you can do before the next test. Make the changes below, close/re-open OBS & run the test. When finished, close/re-open OBS again & post the previous log.

Run your main monitor @ 120HZ not 144

Fix your Scenes, a few have multiple Display, Game or Window captures. Only 1 per to avoid interference.

You can use Sonar with the Arctis 5's, it will streamline your audio set-up. You should look into it.

Get rid of all of this....
