Question / Help Used to be able to stream smooth 60 FPS, now having problems

Specs:
CPU: i7-7700K overclocked @ 4.5GHz
GPU: GeForce GTX 1070
RAM: 32 GB @ 3000MHz

So before, I would be able to stream any games with no problems with my FPS both in game and the stream output. But now, whenever I would stream, let's say Apex Legends, my in game FPS is completely fine but the FPS I'm outputting would go from 60 FPS to 50 to 23 to 5 then would go back up to 45 and it would do this consistently.
If anyone is able to help, that would be awesome.

Update OBS to the latest version manually. The one you're currently using has a broken updater and other issues.

Holy moly. This fixed it. I THOUGHT I DISABLED GAME MODE ALREADY??? Thank you so much!!! Omfg this is such a relief. Thank you x8000!!!
