Hi everyone,
So the default screen res. of my new MacBook Air is 1440x900 and I’d ideally keep it that way. The highest available resolution, however, is 2560x1600 but it seems OBS is only able to record the screen at it's current resolution - is that correct?
Reason I ask is because I use a canvas/output size of 1080p and would like to crop my screen capture to a central 1080p area whilst telling OBS to record the highest screen res. leaving unrecorded space around the capture. Is this possible without changing my screen resolution in mac system settings? I don't want to change my screen res to 2560x1600 as the menu bar font size is seemingly unchangeable - I can increase app text/icons etc but not top bar menu which shrinks and becomes almost illegible.
NB. I actually wonder if the 'Built-in Retina Display: 1440x900 @0,0' in the properties of 'macOS Screen Capture' is actually 1440x900 because when placed on the 1080p canvas it is way bigger than it and I have to shrink it to fit suggesting OBS has actually adopted the maximum screen resolution of 2560x1600.
I'm just trying to avoid stretching a 1440x900 screen capture to a 1080p canvas. Which, I may or may not be doing, it's a little unclear to me.
Any help/clarification on this would be greatly helpful,
Thank you,
Adam
