Question / Help "Save replay buffer" is missing

I recently had to update OBS because I reinstalled my OS. I went to set the hotkeys again and I can't help but notice the "start replay buffer" is missing on the main window and the "save replay buffer" hotkey is missing in the hotkey settings. Only the start and stop replay buffer hotkey setting is there.

One of the main reasons I use OBS is for the replay feature. Windows 10 game bar refuses to pick up Discord and I don't like how Nvidia's shadowplay requires you to log in with social media (unless they recently removed that requirement) which means OBS is the next best option. But with the replay buffer feature seemingly all but gone this means I can no longer use OBS. Has it been removed and if it really has been removed where can I download a previous version that still has the replay buffer? There are no error log or logs in general I can provide. This feature just seems to be gone or no longer supported.

This feature is very much still included in OBS 25.0.4. Make sure you have replay buffer enabled in you output settings.

I enabled it, but the hotkey still didn't show between Stop Replay Buffer and Start Virtual Camera in OBS 26.0.2, as it used to in previous versions (and hotkey list should be independent on particular video settings anyway).

However, looking at the complete list of shortcuts, I found that Save Replay has been moved to its own section "Replay Buffer", much farther down, after Quick Transition shortcuts:

Bonus: I also noticed the Filter field. If I need to find a command again, I'll use it to quickly search the command by name.

Funny how once you clearly define the issue, no one shows back up with an answer. I have the same problem and it's fuckin stupid.

Im also having this problem. There is no "save replay" shortcut. Tried restarting multiple times and im on latest version. Also checked and unchecked (while restarting) enable replay buffer.

So, I also had this yesterday and there are two things you need to be aware of:
  • Apparently OBS has to be restarted for the buffer to activated. Simply turning the option is not enough - I have a streamdeck and the option from OBS plugin indicated that replay still wasn't turned on.
  • When replay buffer is probably enabled, option is now displayed separately, between the stock shortcuts and the scene shortcuts:
