Hello, GPU upgrade question..
from Sapphire Radeon RX 580 8GB Nitro + on MSI RTX 2060 Gaming Z 6gb worth in terms of streaming/gaming at the same time? Will it withstand 2 gb less?

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 1700 Box
MB: Asrock Fatal1ty X370 Gaming-ITX/ac
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4-3000MHz (CMK16GX4M2B3000C15)
PSU: Seasonic Focus SGX-650 650W 80+ Gold SFX
Monitor: LG 24MK600M-B Monitor 23.8" FHD

Streaming software: OBS/SteamElements


I know the RTX 2060 has better gaming performance (it also has GDDR6) but the RX 580 has 2Gb more VRam which I think is better to play more new games that will require memory for textures and the memory bus is 192bit of the first while the second 256.

I also stream simultaneously from the same pc at 936p-1080p60fps (video output) from 1080p almost high settings and I have about 88 fps in COD Worzone with 580 8GB. So I'm afraid with the RTX 2060 6GB it might not stand the same.

Is it worth upgrading from 580 8GB to 2060 6GB?

You likely won't even notice the difference in VRAM.
On the other hand, you'll then have access to Turing NVENC, which delivers encoding quality on par with x264 Slow, with zero impact to your gaming performance (so long as you do not use the Max Quality preset, Psychovisual Tuning, or Lookahead options).

Really, it's a no-brainer to make the switch.

My correct streaming settings with rx 580 8gb i use gpu encoder not cpu x264

I just found an offer to exchange my own that expired 4 months ago the warranty with the MSI RTX 2060 Gaming Z 6gb with 6 more months warranty and I giving $85 plus

Those settings will be irrelevant after the upgrade, I'm not entirely sure why you're posting them.
AMD's AMF encoder is... extremely poor quality, and uses game-rendering resources to accomplish the encoding, rather than being a standalone part of the GPU like nVidia's NVENC.
Again, if I were in your shoes I would already be making the upgrade.

Also, before you make the upgrade, make sure to set OBS to Software x264 temporarily (to avoid OBS startup errors on the nVidia card, as it will not support AMF). It is also recommended when making a GPU change to use the DDU uninstaller (NOT the driver updater!) to clean-uninstall the existing GPU drivers before installing the newest version for the new GPU.
