Recordings failing to import to editor after GPU upgrade

Hi all. I'm a bit stumped with this problem I just began having.

My computer used to run a GTX 1070 until recently, when I upgraded to an RTX 5070. Previously, recorded video files would save, remux, and import without trouble into my video editor (Vegas Pro 20, legitimate/non-pirated copy). I have been using the NVENC HEVC encoder with the I444 color format for recording, having OBS output to .mkv and auto-remux to .mp4. When I installed the 5070, I performed a clean install of the GPU drivers (via the NVidia app, not DDU - though this has been on my mind to attempt) and switched the encoder over to NVENC AV1 to run a test (and, as such, switched to I420 color format due to the discovery that NVENC AV1 does not support 4:4:4 color space).

When I went to import the remuxed .mp4 from this test, Vegas stated that an undetermined error occurred when importing the file (see attachments). At first I thought the switch to AV1 might have been the cause, so I switched back to HEVC and I444, and all of the other settings were the same as I had been using previously that exhibited no issues. Well, new recordings with the same settings as before also fail to import to Vegas. All the while, previous recordings made with my 1070 still import without any trouble, so the issue began after I upgraded my GPU and I cannot determine why.

For transparency, the rest of the system is a 7600x with 32GB RAM and 2TB of NVMe storage, running Win11 Pro 24H2. Both .mkv and remuxed .mp4 recordings affected by this issue open in VLC without trouble. My OBS output and advanced settings, the ones I had been using previously without issue, are also attached. I have not reset Vegas to default settings because the issue only affects newer files, leading me to believe the issue is not with Vegas but rather OBS or the GPU/drivers.

Most recent log file is here: https://obsproject.com/logs/jJuWAmsbaRtYuqIC (a quick on-off recording of blank video, purely for the purpose of having a log for a recording that exhibits the described issue, if that matters).

Thanks in advance for any thoughts anyone can provide. =)

...any thoughts
Encoders usually has hardware limits. "Level" for H.264 or more global, for HEVC, is "Tier". The "Level" should be explicitly set because by default OBS sets no limits. The setting is possible though the Custom Encoder Options field for the selected encoder in OBS.

Sometimes the MediaInfo util may help to find the difference between the media files (it has nice feature to export in the "text" format).

3090/VP17, H264 I444 imports A-OK. H265 is a non-starter at any level, tier or rgb mode. Honestly think it's Vegas for you too.

Wonder if the older recordings were flagged incorrectly or there's something else strange with them?

Bizarre - tested myself by recording with H264 and, sure enough, that file imported without issue. Maybe the 5070's newer version of NVENC doesn't play nicely while the 1070's older version does. Who's to say.
Regardless, I suppose I will stick with H264 for now. A little sad, because I did quite appreciate the filesize different HEVC made. Thanks for dropping this thought here.
