Hello! My PC is completely freezing "mid stream" randomly, and I have to force reboot.
I've used OBS for flashy stream-like meetings on platforms like Teams, Zoom, etc. Been doing so for around five years, and never had a problem like this. It started happening when I upgraded to a new PC: RTX 4080s, i9 14900k, 96gigs of DDR5 ram, Win10 Pro. I have around 2-3 calls like these per day, 30-60 mins each, and I get the freeze once almost daily.
For months I thought it was the computer. I reinstalled Windows and all my software three times, updated all drivers, tested each hardware component extensively with things like HW monitor and OCCT, reseated every component a few times, and I always think it's solved for a bit, then, after a couple of calls I get the freeze again.
I use the PC all day, every day, for work and gaming, and I noticed 100% of the freezes I've had happened while in these calls, never happened while doing anything else, no matter how intense. OBS is the only constant, so I'm thinking it could be related.
A couple of weeks ago I updated to 31.0.2 and it stopped happening for a solid week, I was so happy, but today I got the freeze again. I've checked event viewer but found nothing significant, and I couldn't find anything wrong in the OBS logs, but I'm far from being an expert and I'm out of ideas.
All advice is welcome. Where should I be looking? Have other users reported something similar recently? Sorry for the long story, and thank you for your help.
