Please help . Only 1 issue

My native resolution is 4k so I record in 4k using OBS . When I set the video settings to 60 GPS the recording has a Decent size of 100mb per minute with good quality but the recorded video is very choppy and very lagging like it's buffering or stuttering very badly and I think it's because my in-game fps is lower than 60fps at 4k which I play at so it cause heavy lagging in the recorded video so I turned down the fps settings in obs video settings to 30fps instead of the 60 and my recorded video is smooth just like my gameplay but then I discovered that the recorded video size of the 30fps settings is like 500mb per minute . I don't understand how to fix this cause I thought a higher FPS value results in bigger size but its opposite and the difference is massive . I only changed the FPS from 60 to 30 and it's size increases by 5 times . If I change it back to 60fps the size becomes 100mb per minute again do I am sure it's from this setting please help . This lower file size is the only reason I am using OBS . If you know how to fix my choppy video at 60fps also please help . My in-game is always smooth but the recorded video at 60fps is a trauma to behold .

If you dropped some frames because of encoding/rendering overload then obviously your file will be smaller. Main menu View > Stats window in OBS can show to you how well encoding is performed.

So you mean to say if my 60fps wasn't choppy then my file for 60fps will be just as big as the 30 FPS or more ?. So what is the normal file size for 4k 60 fps video in 1 minute recording cause the 30 FPS is giving 500mb per minute. Also I get encoder overload but I was thinking about solving the file size issue first cause it's really important to me . That's the only reason I use OBS

Also any tip for the encoder overload. I got a 4k monitor and an rtx 3080 graphics card. Thanks a lot for your help and what's your final recommendation for me cause I really want a recording with 100mb per minute with good quality also. I know it's possible cause I saw someone recording gta5 with best quality and 100mb per minute that's why I decided to try obs
