Hello there,
yet another problem - will be the last problem for the moment, but its a big one (for me, hehe):
Ive connected the Hauppauge HD PVR2 device between my gaming and my streaming computer - works fine, all delays are adjusted, everything works so far, but now the problem:
After streaming a 5 minute teststream and watching it after at twitch ive noticed that the entire video had artefacts und was kinna crippled - cant be as i was streaming in medium preset which used to give beautyful results at 1080p in my previous 1 pc setup. I then noticed that the preview window was already scaled down in obs and appeared to be slightly crippled aswell.
Ive investigated the problem and think i found it:
In the obs properties of the Hauppauge HD PVR2 / Hauppauge Siena device there is only one resolution selectable which is 720x480, so it inputs to obs in that resolution and obs stretches that to 1920x1080 output, which is why the video is artefacted / crippled.
Why cant i select the correct and desired 1920 x 1080 res in the obs properties of the HD PVR2 ? As soon i try to key in any other res into that field (for ex the 1920x1080), the preview window turns black and stays like that as long i reselect the 720x480 again.
According to the obs capture card spreadsheet located here ...
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AgpHJw8rCd_VdEVRXzVJbUV2M0xDZEdxWGNXRkpDLWc#gid=0
... the HD PVR2 can output 1080p 30 fps to obs, which is also the resolution and fps i want to stream with and which is set in obs stream output.
So again, why all i can select is 720x480 while i should be able to select 1920x1080 in the HD PVR2 obs properties as obs input resolution ?
Can it be that 1920x1080 is not yet supported as input for the HD PVR2 in this obs release ? Or is it just me who missed out some hidden setting again ? ;)
Thumbs up for any help and information.
