Bug Report OBS Studio crashing when loading Waveshell VST plugin as audio filter on Mic

Hey! I've been trying to get the Waves VST Plugins to work on OBS and I've encountered a consistent crash when trying to load it as a Filter.

1. Open OBS
2. Add Mic/Aux to mixer
3. Go to Filters on Mic/Aux
4. Right click > add > VST 2.x plugin
5. Select Waveshell from plugin list
6. Observe crash

I've seen multiple old threads complaining about issues with VSTs crashing OBS but have found no solutions. I've tried reinstalling OBS.

Same issue in 2020. Streamlabs OBS - Versoin: 0.20.1

Same thing here. Version 22.0.2 crashing in 2020 when VST plugins try to load. Is it a bug ?

Version 26.1.1 (64-bit). Still crashing when trying to load Waves VST Plugins.

Technically, it's not a bug. They stated in their guide that "...shell VST plugins are not supported at this time"
