Hi,
I want to record YouTube Videos in 1440p (gaming) because of the VP09 codec on Youtube.
However sometimes obs says me that my encoder is overloaded
Here my settings :
I3 10100f
8 GB ddr4 ram
Gtx 1060 6GB
And an SSD
Can someone recommend me settings for an good image quality and performance
Thanks :)

You should upscale your videos to 1440p using any video editor instead of recording, this is how all people do most of the time. Regarding your settings, post a log.

1. Mismatched Sample Rates. Set OBS Sample Rate to 48000 Hz.
2. Enable Game Mode.
3. Run OBS as Administrator.
4. Disable Lookahead and Psycho Visual Tuning.
5. Don't use CBR for recording, use CQP or VBR, for VBR you can control the file size, but for CQP you don't know for sure.
CQP lower number for quality, increase to save file size and lower quality. NVIDIA (NVENC OBS Guide) recommends 15, but you can try 20-24, etc.
For VBR, you can use minimum 12, 15, 20 and max 25k kbps bitrate if you want.
6. Never record with .mp4, use .mkv and remux it to .mp4 using OBS (right now your .mp4 from OBS remux is VFR, not good for Premiere Pro, etc.) or Shutter Encoder. If you don't use Premiere and you have another video editor software that doesn't have an issue with long video files, then ignore this part, just remux it with OBS.
Video extract .mp4
ffmpeg -c:v copy -an -video_track_timescale 60
Audio extract .m4a
ffmpeg -c:a copy -vn
You need to sync and link them in your video editor, don't worry about audio being lower and the end because video is much longer with a few seconds, just play and see that it's synched.
7. Record your videos to another drive, not to the one that you are playing games and never the OS drive.
8. Change from 1440p to 1080p and upscale your videos how I said before.
9. Cap your fps in games, lower in game settings, disable OBS preview.
