OBS is unable to record at screen resolution - 4500x3000

Whenever I tell OBS to record a video at my screen's full resolution, it fails with this message -

I want the output to be the highest possible resolution, but this happens when I tell it to do that. The next lowest resolution is at 3600x2400, and it records at that no problem. How can I fix this? Excuse my ignorance, as I am incredibly new to OBS.
I am using a Surface Studio 2.

Your output resolution is too high. Nvenc supports only up to a maximum of 4096x4096. This is no OBS limitation, it's a hardware limitation within the nvenc circuit on the GPU.
