OBS is lagging when I have my game open ( path of exile 2 )

I recently tried to stream Path of Exile 2 and noticed almost instantly noticed that my OBS/recording was stuttering/lagging. Oddly enough it wasn't just when I was streaming, it was if I had PoE2 and OBS opened at the same time regardless of being live or not. I have not had this issue with any other games up until this point. I checked my task manager and nothing is out of the ordinary ( i believe my GPU is typically maxed out?). I saw a thread somewhere stating it could have something to do with my refresh rate? I also tried tweaking some of my OBS settings and disabled multi-pass, look-ahead, and psychovisual, but nothing seemed to click. Attached below will be my specs and OBS settings. I can try to upload a video of the game/OBS if need be. Any help is appreciated, thanks and happy holidays!

OS: Windows

In the last week I just started having this issue too. At first I thought it was the recent POE2 patch.

Tried rolling back Nvidia drivers. Nothing.
Tried rolling back OBS version. Nothing.
Started testing other games. I'm currently playing Morrowind so I booted that up and it was fine. Started up OBS and alt-tabbed back in and I have terrible input lag and weird visual motion lag. (feels almost like vsync is enabled)

Not sure if this is from a WIndows Update or what. I recently made a second profile and have added more Sources, so my next steps are going to disabling scenes and sources and see if it helps.

what encoder are you using? I swapped from NVENC to just .264 and matched my in game frame rate to my monitors refresh rate and that seems to have fixed it!
