NVIDIA Broadcast make output/preview laggy

Hey all! I've been trying to stream some games and I could notice that when using NVIDIA Broadcast for removing the background from my webcam it just makes the preview/output veeery laggy, something like 20 fps or less. The gameplay still runs nice though. Once I change the source to the real device instead of the NVIDIA Broadcast it runs fine. I have tried several options of output resolution from NVIDIA Broadcast, including the smallest available which is 640x360@30fps

Any ideas of what could be causing this?

My setup is:
  • Ryzen 7 3700X
  • 16GB DDR4 @ 3200mhz
  • RTX 2070 SUPER
  • 750W PSU

Did you get anywhere with this?

I am having the same issue.

5900X
RTX 2070Super
32GB 3600
x570 mobo

Seems ridiculous with the spec. Not sure if issue is with Nvidia or SLOBS/OBS

Hey, sorry for not coming back. Thing is, even with a beefy hardware because I now have a 3070 I can't seem to stream free o lag on only one machine. However if you lock your frames at 60 and put the encoding via software you'll do just fine.

That's considering you play in 1440p which puts more load into the GPU.

I'm able to stream any games now without messing around with configs and etc, just lock 60fps on the game and you're probably good to go.

My stream itself has always been good and no issues with Streamlbs, but adding a cam causes the cam to lag, not the stream. Using nvidia to remove background. I've switched to OBS Studio today to try and see if that is different. Just find slobs more UI friendly

Have you tried lowering the resolution of the output via NVIDIA Broadcast? I think the default is 1080p, I remember doing that helped with the cam lagging, however I think if your GPU is running like 98% and you throw in the background removal it will most likely lag either the game or the cam
