Question / Help NVENC H.264 Issue

Hi guys,
I'm having a problem recording with NVENC H.264. Every time I try to record it comes up with this:

I've tried all of the solutions possible (update drivers, close not use apps, etc) but can't seem to resolve the problem. Also here's my log says:
20:35:30.186: [NVENC encoder: 'recording_h264'] Failed to open NVENC codec: Generic error in an external library

If anybody is able to help me i would be eternally grateful.
;) ;)

I'm pretty sure the 840m doesn't actually support nvenc. You're going to need to change your output encoders to something else.

Oh okay... Thought because it was an Nvidia graphics card it would work but oh well.
The problem is that when I use x264 either the quality of the video is horrible either I'm lagging in game and even more in the recording...

Nope, only specific lines of nvidia cards (GTX and Quadro) actually have nvenc.

For recording, I'd recommend you try:
Settings - Output
Output mode: Simple
Indistinguishable Recording Quality
FLV Recording format
Software (x264, low cpu use increased file size) or Hardware (QSV) recording encoder
