New update bug OBS Studio 31.0.2

I was about to record a video, and I use this trick, to have 2 recordings. one for my gameplay, and one for my camera, so then I can edit the camera easier in my editing software. so usually how I do that is open 2 OBSes capturing different things, and clicking record on both of them. but when this new update came out, I updated it. every single time I tried to open a secondary obs. it shows a black screen and I cannot close it unless if I use task manager.

You will want to run any additional instances of OBS in portable mode to avoid issues like this

Running in Portable Mode | OBS

OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) is free and open source software for video recording and live streaming. Stream to Twitch, YouTube and many other providers or record your own videos with high quality H264 / AAC encoding.

ok i googled it how to make it and it works thx for the help

they need to fix this.... portable mode isn't an solution this is clearly a bug..

I reverted to the previous update and won't be coming back until I can confirm it has been fixed.

this issue should have been found during testing.

To reiterate what is mentioned in the thread linked above, this is not a bug and there is no plan to change the current behavior.
