New build to manage 4K HDR 60fps recording

Ciao a tutti,
I’m currently using a MacBook Pro M1 Pro, but I’ve been experiencing persistent lag during recording in 4k 30fps which has prompted me to consider building a PC specifically for this purpose. In your expert opinion, which configuration would you recommend? I’ve been contemplating an Intel 14600kf processor, but I’m undecided about the video card. Should I settle for an RTX 4060, or should I opt for a more powerful 4070?

It’s important to note that I’ll be recording incoming streams from various cameras at the highest possible quality, so gaming is not a priority for me.

I need 4k HDR 60fps

With a 14600f, the 4060 is sufficient. Step up the CPU if you decide you want to get the 4070. Just to note, the 4070TI & up have dual encoders.

I'm still recovering from an eye exam & missed the k. It makes a difference, 14600k/4070 is perfect. I left the f off, spend the extra $25.00 & get the iGPU. It may come in handy in the future.

Hmm there's something that doesn't convince me... why should I get a faster processor if I use a faster video card? It should be the opposite

I mean I don't have to play with it, I just have to do a job, record 4k hdr 60fps, which configuration is enough?

GPU is unable to reach maximum performance due to CPU bottleneck, waste of money, ect. It goes both ways. Best to match components based on performance so there's no weak links in the chain. 14600k/4070 is fine for 4k.
