Alright guys Iv been searching but did not find anything yet... I am streaming Fallout 4.
I already tried to run the game in windowed mode, both with and without borders.
First of all my stream has lags spikes every 30s. - 1 min. I can see them on my OBS preview. My viewers also confirm me that.
In game no lags with constant 60 fps.
I have already streamed multiple games like the new COD modern Warfare. No lags. Everything fine.
I use a VPN connection with OpenVPN.
I have a 2 PC setup and use NDI.
Streaming PC:
CPU Type - Mobile Quadcore Intel Core i7-37400QM, 3600MHz (36 x 100)
Motherboard Name - Hewlett Packard HP EliteBook 8570w
System Memory - 8123 MB (DDR3-1600 DDR3 SDRAM)
GPU - NVIDIA Quadro K1000M
Storage - SSD Crucial BX100 250GB + HDD Hitachi 750gb 7200rpm
Gaming PC:
windows 10
CPU Type - QuadCore Intel Core i5-6600K, 3900 MHz (39 x 100)
Motherboard Name - Asus Z170-A
System Memory - 16323 MB (DDR4-2133 DDR4 SDRAM)
GPU - AMD Sapphire R9 Fury Tri-X OC 4 GB
Storage - SSD Crucial MX300 750GB
OBS settings:
OUTPUT
encoder - NVIDIA NVENC H.264 (new)
rate control - CBR
bitrate - 2000
keyframe interval - 2
preset - Performance
profile - high
look ahead - ☐
psycho visual tuning - ☑
GPU - 0
max b-frames - 2
AUDIO
sample rate - 44.1khz
channels - Stereo
VIDEO
base resolution - 1920x1080
output resolution - 1600x900
downscale filter - Lanczos
common fps values - 60
ADVANCED
process priority - normal
video renderer - Direct3D 11
What I did is put the Task Manager Performance Monitor on my gaming PC while playing.
My GPU, CPU, Memory are far from 100%.
But Task Manger also shows 2 Ethernet Performance Graphs:
• TAP - Windows Adapter V9 1.0Gbps
• Intel Ethernet Connection I219-V 1.0Gbps
When I play I noticed I have some Ethernet spikes up to 100Kbps on the first Graph. That seem to create the lags on my streaming PC.
Second graph is pretty constant while playing.
As I use NDI, I think there is a link.
Im confused as to why its happening. Any ideas?
