My OBS isnt letting me record my screen

So i recently downloaded OBS in hopes of being able to record my screen. However, when I tried it out, the screen remained black. I've looked up many methods, but to no avail. I tried putting it in power saving mode, i tried disabling the game capture thing, nothing's working... help!

You added the installer for the program to the low-power mode selection, not the installed program itself.
