Question / Help Is an Intel Core i3-7100U 7th Generation enough for streaming watchable quality console gameplay to twitch?

So I'm at a bit of a standstill as far as my twitch streaming goes. My current pc is an old dell inspiron 545 with a dang Pentium dual core, and it cannot run obs at any watchable quality. As a result I'm looking to invest in a new computer for streaming console gameplay via capture card. So I did some research on a capture card that works for me, no problem with that. The capture card I'm getting is the AVerMedia Live Gamer Portable, primarily for streaming my Playstation 4 and Playstation 3 gameplay to twitch.

But I still need a new pc. I have my eyes set on a laptop simply for the convenience of portability, and the fact that it's all pre built. Luckily I have a close friend who has my ideal setup, and a laptop that I would like to invest in. The only thing I'm concerned with is that he records videos and doesn't stream, so what I need to know is if this laptop is worth my money or if I should get a laptop with an Intel Core i5 to better suit my needs

Here's the laptop my friend recommended to me: https://www.amazon.com/Acer-E5-575-...TF8&coliid=I1RQRSXKO1VTN3&colid=32OWPDIX4QNSJ

I'm open to suggestions, so if you have a different laptop in mind or some helpful tips please share them.

Some of the latest generation i3s are quad cores now, which would be a big help. But generally, laptops are bad for streaming PCs. They cost more and they depend on USB for the capture card, and USB is super-problematic. Not enough USB bandwidth, even with USB 3 but especially with USB 2, and any other USB device on the same USB root hub can interfere. You'll save money and encode better by building a PC with a decent CPU, GTX (not GT) quality GPU, and a PCIe capture card. If you need it portable, try for a mini or micro ITX case.
