Question / Help I'm seeing extra keyframes...

I'm using OBS 23.2.1:

• mp4 file as a media source
• keyframe interval is 2
• streaming to custom RTMP server

I'm seeing extra keyframes being generated far more frequently than I'd expect, 30 second averages being around 1300ms.

Is this due to my mp4 input or is there something else at work?

Additional keyframes could be created at scene cuts (not OBS scene switches but video scene switches), when the content of the next frame changes more than a certain amount of percent. Or if the video is very high motion. As far as I remember this is the "I frame threshold" of x264 and the default is 40%, probably OBS uses the same default.
