I had no luck on Discord so I'm hoping someone here can help me.
I'm using an Elgato HD60 S+ to record PS5 to my PC with OBS. Everything is working fine, the footage, the audio, except for one thing.
In the Elgato audio track (#3 in picture), I can hear my own voice muffled & in a very low volume. I've made sure to turn off all other audio tracks (#1, #2, #4) but the issue remains. I can't separate my voice from the game audio, because it's burnt in to the audio track that contains the game audio.
After alot of troubleshooting, I realized that it was the headphones themselves that are picking up my voice. It's muffled because it's around my ears, if I take the headset off I can hear myself very clearly, but still very low in volume. I even tried connecting the headset using a 3.5mm cable that is split between a green headphones & a pink microphone jack. I have the pink jack hanging loose and the green one connected, to confirm that it's the headphones and not the microphone that's picking up my voice. I've also tried talking into the microphone and into the headphones, and my voice comes out louder when talking directly into the headphones. Finally, I've also tried using a different headset and two other in-ear headphones. Always the same issue. (All this with the PS5 controller muted)
I've attached a picture to explain what my setup looks like, as well as what my settings look like.
I've been trying to fix this issue for more than 6 hours now and I've hit my limit. Please help me!
TL;DR - Headphones (not the headset-microphone, the actual headphones) are recording my voice and burning it into the Elgato HD60 S+ audio track so I can't separate my voice from the game audio. Can I fix this issue somehow?
