I have a MediaCom Karaoke System. It was getting used by connecting its HDMI output to TV's HDMI input. On TV's screen one can see the list of songs. Using the MediaCom remote control you select the song, play it and sing along. Also using the remote one can manage various settings for the system.
Now for one particular requirement, I needed to have the below set-up.
MediaCom ==> Video Capture Card
Capture Card ==> two video outputs: a. Laptop Screen, b. Projector Screen
Capture Card ==> One Audio Output to Speaker system
I have purchased a generic 4K Video Capture Card which has the necessary ports.
1 HDMI Input - connected to MediaCom HDMI output
1 HDMI Output - not yet tested for Projector
1 USB 3.0 Output - Connected to Laptop with OBS Studio
1 audio 3.5mm out - connected to a Speaker
In OBS Studio I was able to add a source and select USB 3 Video. With this I could see the MediaCom console screen.
I can also hear the MediaCom system boot-up music. So I guess when I play a song it will also play the Karaoke track.
Problem: I am unable to use the MediaCom remote to navigate on the screen (laptop screen) and to select a song or take any other actions.
What part of OBS setting do I use to detect MediaCom Remote clicks?
