Question / Help getting desktop sound and using xlr mike as mike input at the same time

Hey everyone! I figured out how to get desktop sounds in my video. I'm the using IshowU Audio Capture. The only thing I'm missing is getting audio from my microphone which is an xlr microphone connected to my audio interface. When I open obs settings>audio and set the mic/auxiliary audio device 2 to my audio interface there is no sound going through obs. I'd appreciate it if anyone can give me a tip on how to fix this :)

Running 10.13.6 mac os High Sierra
