Game Feels Smooth, Recorded Video Doesn't.

Hello. I have some problems with my stream. Whenever I play with higher fps than 60 in a certain game, I stop recording, and go back to see how video turned out, it is choppy, it lags, it stutters slightly, it's not smooth. I played with 6000 to 30000 bitrate, the issue persists. I recently read a post here, which said that if you get more than 60fps in game your stream won't feel smooth. I have no problem playing with 60 cap fps in game, however, the game doesn't feel smooth for me with 60 fps, so I play with 75hz.

Could someone explain to me how some people record with 100+ fps and yet their recorded video is silky smooth? I get the same fps, I have good OBS settings, yet, the recorded video doesn't feel smooth even though my game does. Please help me to fix my issue, I would really appreciate it.

If you want the smoothest recording possible it helps if you have Windows on its own hard drive, games on another, and record to another. So 3 drives in total. I would call this the perfectionist setup.

However, as a minimum recording to another hard drive really helps. A decent enough USB3.x with write speeds 100MB/s+ should be good enough. Can you borrow a drive from somewhere to test?

I had same thing with Vampire the Masquarade Bloodlines in latest version of OBS. Game was fine, but recording was choppy, like it's been skipping frames. Recordings were uncompressed and i have dedicated HDD for it. Even with Hardware-Compressed. it still had "frame skips". I used Screen Capture, because VTMB is old. With Game Capture it has problems, like its ignoring vertical sync.
