Framerate (1080p30 vs 1080i50)

hey, we've got a Blackmagic Decklink mini recorder for the camera input. Should I either set it to 1080p30 or 1080i50 ? Which one is better, and how does deinterlacing in OBS work?

OBS does not have any deinterlacing support. It works almost entirely with progressive-scan, and expects all inputs and outputs to as well. Set it for 1080p30 for best results, and handle deinterlacing prior to/at the capture step if possible.
