Fire Stick Suddenly Stops Working with OBS Studio: Black Screen Issue and Possible DRM Problem

I’ve been using my laptop with OBS Studio and an Amazon Fire Stick, connected via a video capture device (specifically this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BGMYPBF4). It worked perfectly for most of this year. However, over the past month, I’ve started encountering an issue: when I connect the Fire Stick, the logo appears, I hear the startup sound, but then it cuts out abruptly, leaving me with a black screen. The settings in OBS Studio are correct, so it’s incredibly frustrating, especially since it worked without any problems before.

I read in a forum post that the issue might be related to the Fire Stick switching to encrypted video, which the capture device can’t handle. This could have something to do with a digital rights management (DRM) agreement the Fire Stick enforces. However, this doesn’t explain why I was able to use it without issues for most of the year.

Do you have any advice on how to fix the issue?

As I said in the other thread:
How do updates work on the Fire Stick? Are they automatic and transparent? If so, then it may have had one that does what I described, and this is the only way you'd know.
