Encoder Crashes with Diablo 4

Good afternoon,
I have been trying to stream Diablo 4 since June 1st and am consistently getting encoder crashes, both with NVENC and x264. I have ensured both OBS, Diablo, and Nvidia drivers are up to date.

PC Specs
AMD Ryzen 9 5900x
RTX 3070
32 Gbs Ram

I have no trouble streaming any other game currently (Tarkov/WoW) but have had this issue with Tarkov when a new map was released.

What happens - Ill stream for approx 20-30 mins just fine, then OBS will start to slow down and lag and then the error comes up. From that point even if I restart the program it will crash within a minute or two of relaunching the program (OBS)

Is the most recent crash log, thank you for any help you smart people can provide.

Crash from last night, taking the filters off from my mic seemed to make it last longer

I have the exact same issue. It'll be fine for 20-30 minutes, slowly start to lag, then freezes. Restarting OBS or D4 does nothing. Only restarting PC fixes it.

My setup:
i9 9900k
Gtx 1080
32GB of RAM

Task manager shows OBS using more GPU than I usually see, and actually bottlenecking my Diablo FPS.

I haven't had this problems with any other games (last of us, god of war, Gwent)

I am experiencing the same exact issue. I can stream anything else at super high resolution with no issues, but with Diablo IV performance degrades over time, the encoder in OBS gets overloaded and OBS crashes to desktop. Had similar problems during the beta as well and even nerfing settings didn't help. I have a beefy system too so I know it is not my hardware.

@Dreggas13 @Ddramallama I was able to get some relief by turning off all my browser sources then turning them on one at a time until OBS's gpu usage % spiked.

That let me isolate which ones were causing the spike. Keeping those turned off has helped avoid OBS freezes/crashes.

One of the biggest culprits for me at least was Streamlabs emote wall widget. I'm not sure why that doesn't cause a problem when streaming any other games but I hope it helps.

I also turned off Hardware Acceleration for browser sources in the OBS settings before I did this so in theory it could be that or a combination of what I did, but it's working now and I'm scared to mess with it.

Let me know if any of this helps you. It was totally frustrating for me so I can imagine it's causing you pain as well.

If you want you can hop by my channel (twitch.tv/moshcraft) and I can show you my obs settings etc, or get my discord from there and reach out via DMs.

I have seen innrecent post diablo 4 is having some gpu utilization issues i believe this is a diablo issue where its using 100% vram and no way to turn down this usage i have found that turing all my graphic settings down for the game to low and all the nivida settings to performance has helped hope that helps you guys out ! Also further more i can not get this game iut of 2k resolution unless i switch my pc to 1080p dumb the game devs have really dropped the ball on this game !
