I've recently had an issue where I setup my OBS audio recording exactly how I wanted but I forgot to enable the actual tracks in Recording settings which made the recording unusable. OBS currently doesn't notify the user at all that this has to be enabled beforehand.
My proposal would be to add a banner in the Advanced Audio Properties so that if you enable recording on the audio track that is disabled in Settings a warning banner would appear notifying you that those selected tracks are disabled and won't be recorded.
