Question / Help Desktop Audio Not Picking Up

Hey so I downloaded OBS three days ago and have everything else figured out but for some reason, I can not for the life of me figure out why OBS is not picking up any desktop audio when I stream.

I have an MSI Leopard, that uses RealTek High Def Audio(not sure if that'll be helpful, I know my NVIDA screwed up my video at first). When I go to stream I can get my mic to capture but nothing comes up when I am playing music from Spotify. I am a digital artist so it would be ideal to have music in the background of my streams.
I set up OBS using the Auto Set Up thing the website suggests so idk if something went wrong there?

Also just a warning I am kinda technology illiterate so might be easily confused haha!

You added your desktop audio twice: once as global audio source in settings->Audio, and another one as Audio Output capture source. They stomp on each other. Remove one of the two definitions. In Settings->Audio you define the audio sources you want in every scene, so you probably want to remove the "Desktop Audio" source in your sources window.

Im not quite sure I understand exactly what you mean but I disabled my Desktop Audio 2 in settings->audio and deleted the desktop capture audio in my sourced and it still didn't work.

I think I may just uninstall and reinstall and see if that works?

Hello,
As I read your obs not picking up the sound.
Sometimes this is happening due to the wrong process of installation
Now you have to uninstall the program and install it in the right way.
After that hope, OBS works well with your system
Thanks
