Hi,
I used to be able to save my recordings to my videos folder in my SSD. Now when I try to start a recording it says that it was unable to write to the folder. It also says that I may not have sufficient disk space when I still have 45 GB left. When I try to start a recording on a USB that's fine. Please Help

Are you trying to save to somewhere you're allowed to write to as a non-admin user? Eg documents / desktop? Running OBS as admin will let you save to most other locations if needed.

In case you have a virus scanner with ransomware protection: add OBS to the list of programs that are allowed to write into the protected private folders.

I only have windows defender. Can you please explain how to add OBS to the list. And just so you know I haven’t changed anything on my laptop and this has never happened before

Open Windows Defender Security Center, then first tab (the tab with the Shield symbol), scroll to bottom, click Ransomware Protection. Disable completely or add OBS as app.
