Question / Help Black Screen when using display capture only (Not graphics card selection issue)

Been messing with this for like a week now, I don't know why my capture display isn't working, this is what I've done.
Made sure that the preferred graphics card for OBS is the integrated graphics

Opened as an administrator, click use integrated graphics after right-clicking obs.
Changed the compatibility mode of OBS to the different operating systems
Restarted both OBS and my computer to make sure a restart wasn't needed to get it to work
and still nothing, this is what I see when I try to use display capture

But when I use any other method of capturing it works, but capture display is the one I need to use.

This appears to be the usual GPU selection issue, at least according to your logfile:

You cannot perform display capture in this configuration (OBS running on the 1650). It needs to run on the Intel card to do this.

Prior to the 1909 Windows update, this was changed in the Nvidia control panel.

After 1909 this is changed and is set in Windows' display settings.

If you're prior to 1909 but can't make this change in Nvidia control panel, it probably means your Nvidia drivers need updating.

hm, but I set the default as the integrated graphics for OBS, I also right-clicked obs and chose the integrated graphics as the graphics processor, yet it still isn't working, I'll try the method spelled out in that link though

Nice, after changing the GPU selection in windows it worked since I'm on 1909, thank you. This particular guide should be added to the laptop troubleshooting portion of the website since it's not in there, had no idea about this change with 1909

I'm having this problem since updating to Windows 10 on my desktop PC. I have dual Quadro M4000 video cards. I can't find any combination of settings that allow display capture.

I'm having this problem since updating to Windows 10 on my desktop PC. I have dual Quadro M4000 video cards. I can't find any combination of settings that allow display capture.

We're experiencing the same troubles on a NVIDIA only setting (dual Quadro M2200) - we've explicitly deactivated the built in graphics for our application. Before the latest Windows update (Win 10 1909) all worked just fine but now we're experiencing black screens. Did you found a solution to the problem with your Quadro only setup?
