I've seen this question posted before but have not seen an explanation, so forgive me if this has been answered already.
I am trying to use only one of my audio interface inputs in OBS, which on Windows I can do by converting the source to mono and using only the left channel. However, on Mac it appears that OBS does not offer balance control and simply downmixes both channels to one mono signal.
(For context, I want to route ch1 mic to OBS, but not ch2 guitar DI, which I want to process in Logic before routing back to OBS as System Sound.)
I suppose I could hook up a second audio interface and use one for mic only and one for guitar DI only, but I'm trying to keep the setup as simple as possible.
If anyone has ideas for a workaround or a fix, thank you in advance!
