Question / Help Any video over ten minutes comes back as corrupted.

When ever I record a video in MP4 for around 10 minutes or more the MP4 file comes back as corrupted and won't work. If I record under 10 - 15 minutes the file will be fine and the video will run fine with no lag. This is difficult because I need to be able to record longer videos, can someone please help.

But mkv can’t upload to YouTube. Is the quality the same as mp4?

Wrong. MKV can indeed upload to youtube.

yes and you can easy encode it to mp4 if you need
the difference between mkv and mp4 as very very very simple
explanation mp4 files have to be finished by encoder (obs, ffmpeg, whatever other encoder)
mkv dont need this final step this is why mkv is more robust
