Any OBS hardware encoder for External egpu AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT + Catalina 10.15.6

Howdy folks,

Looking to utilise my external graphics card when in OBS or another video capture software, any suggestions appreciated.
My laptop craps out without utilising the GC. So if you guys know of any solutions even subpar this is fine.

The goal is to video capture my own workflow for eduction videos, not streaming video games at the same time.
The closest streaming recording is a skype call.

Interesting that we have the same problem in a short time span.

I haven't tried this yet, but it might be simplest to connect a video capture card to the hdmi out of the graphics card enclosure.

It's a hack and not a software solution, but it should work.

I just tried the video card capture technique and it works, but I realize I hadn't given OBS screen permissions before...
