old imac

Hey there, i don't know if my mac is to old for dis.. but when I record a video, the video on safari works fine, but on the preview or after it it's recorded is lagging the s*** out.. Using my 2009er 27" iMac, with yeh i know.. 256mb video memory.. maybe somebody out there who could help me...
