game capture black screen

So after updating to OBS 31.0.1 I cannot use the game capture as when I add it, its just a red dot and when its full screened its just a black box. I haven't used game capture in a while but it used to work and now that I need to use it again it just doesn't work. Any Ideas on how to fix?
